Second Ageing Deal Conference in Rome

The Ageing Deal is a pioneering European initiative designed to respond to the societal implications of longer lives by promoting healthier and more inclusive ageing across Europe. It is driven by European projects funded under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action call HORIZON-HLTH-2023-STAYHLTH-01-01: The Silver Deal – Person-centred health and care in European regions. Shifting the focus from ‘Silver’ to ‘Ageing’, the initiative fosters forward-looking policies and trustworthy innovations to build a healthier, more equitable future for older adults and European regions.

Rooted in a life-course perspective, the Ageing Deal recognises ageing as a continuous process shaped by biological, social, digital, economic and environmental factors. It brings together citizens, researchers, clinicians, companies and policymakers in a collaborative ecosystem to advance science, innovation and health and digital literacy. Acting as a think tank for healthier longevity, it aims to transform and optimise healthcare systems, integrate prevention and care, and ensure that no one is left behind in the transition towards healthier ageing together.

Last year, SmILE was presented at the Agening Deal Conference in Barcelona and will be part of the second Ageing Deal conference taking place in Rome on April 23rd.
